I am a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director for the BA FRTV degree in the School of Creative Arts and Industries. A graduate of the FRTV and MA Media Production programmes, I have worked as an editor, sound designer, director, producer, photographer and cameraman.
I have taught film, video, and photography and am involved in a number of the courses the School runs, with particular responsibility for teaching film and video production and film editing. My current research interests include, Editing: Theory and Practice, Michael Powell and the Neo-Romantic Landscape, Independent and Exploitation cinema and Film Noir and the Tragic Inheritance.
A founder member of the Powell Research Group I have been active in promoting, researching and archiving the work of Michael Powell and the Archers. I have worked in media education since 2000 and am currently external examiner for undergraduate film studies at the University of Sterling.
