"Jo is the Programme Director and a senior lecturer on the Digital Media programme.
After graduating with an MSc in Computer Animation, Jo worked for many years as an animator and video editor at Pixel Circus. She also has broad experience working freelance in this field.
She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice and primarily teaches animation and motion graphics.
Jo has exhibited a number of video installations, her most recent, natural perspectives, explored interactive animation, which included augmented reality artwork and motion-activated animated animals.
Currently, Jo is researching for her PhD which is a practice-based exploration into the roles that different forms of video, animation and interactive experience can play in demystifying the mental anxiety associated with breast cancer.
Jo is co-organiser of Canterbury Anifest where she runs the short animation film competition."
