Lecturer in Engineering
I am a Lecturer in Engineering at Canterbury Christ Church University and a chartered Mechanical Engineer. I have teaching expertise in engineering thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, optics and mechanics. I teach the module Mathematics for Engineers at Foundation level across all Engineering degrees. This is a great module to learn about how maths is used in engineering and to improve your engineering mathematical and problem-solving skills.
I use experimental and numerical techniques to study problems in various fields, particularly multi-phase flow and combustion, laser and optical measurement and CFD. I received a doctorate from the University of Oxford, for research on fuel injection strategy, mixture preparation and combustion in direct injection gasoline engines, supported by Jaguar Land Rover and the EPSRC.
