Programme Director BSc Paramedic Practice /Senior Lecturer
My clinical background is that of an Operating Department Practitioner (RODP) and prior to joining the staff at Christ Church I worked for six years as a lecturer in perioperative practice at London South Bank University. I also spent a year working as a practice placement facilitator for Medway PCT for community-based Adult Nursing. Alongside this I was employed by Eastern and Coastal Kent PCT as a part-time clinical teacher in Primary care from 2005-2013. In 2013 I commenced in my role as a lecturer in paramedic science. This was a new challenge for me, and I was able to bring my previous experience into this area of health care. I am now working full time within the paramedic team and am currently the Programme Director for the BSc In-service Paramedic Practice programme.
I have also been a student at the University and completed my dissertation as MSc in Interprofessional Health & Social Care in 2012 and PGCLT in 2013. I am actively involved in HCPC as an education visitor partner and CPD assessor and have previously been an HCPC fitness to practice panel member.
