I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2011 with MEng in Mechanical Engineering prior to completing my PhD on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems at the same University. I then moved to Birmingham City University as a post-doctoral research fellow where my research was mainly focused on Big Data Analysis and machine learning. In 2020, I joined Christ Church University as a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical/Material Engineering. I have published wide ranging research papers in high rank scientific journals and conference proceedings. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and have broad ranging teaching and supervision experience in undergraduate and postgraduate Engineering courses at UK higher education institutions. My recent main areas of teaching are modules on Structural Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering Design, and Materials Science and Engineering. My research interests include intelligent manufacturing systems, distributed systems, agent-based modelling, Big Data analytics in manufacturing, data mining and machine learning.
