I am a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations and I have worked at Canterbury Christ Church University since 2007. My research focusses space policy – in particular its place in security, military, economic structures and culture. I also work on European policy making, and have been employed as an advisor to the UK recruitment sector, the organic sector and the grain import industry on post-Brexit regulation strategies. On EU politics, UK politics and political issues relating to COVID, I am often feature on BBC Radio station news programmes.
I teach all levels in politics and IR which allows me to interact with all students: one of my favourite aspects of lecturing is taking students on field trips. Over the past few years I have organised trips to Brussels, the Somme battlefields, and the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
